Backup Manager

I don't understand it a bit, or rather I'm missing one important function - backing up (downloading a backup) to a PC - and restoring the backup from the PC.

What's the point of clicking the "Restore" button in the plugin administration if, in the event of a crash, I can't access the administration or the entire website at all...

You can back up the files to your computer via FTP, after all. That should be sufficient.

Sure, that's what I thought too. I'm just wondering what the "Backup Manager" is for...

I have a small script I use to recursively zip up whatever is below. Then FTP the zip file. This is much quicker than pulling all dirs and sub-dirs and files. It is a single file; 1kb
