Hello everyone,
I ask for your help after several unsuccessful attempts to solve a display problem on my jeronath.net site, which uses Bludit 3.15 with the modified Espina theme.
Some of the longer posts are displayed with a bug that doesn't exist in the local version. The site is hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland, with Bludit 3.15, Apache and php in 8.1. On my computer I have an Apache server with php 8.1, Bludit 3.15 and the theme, extensions and bl-content folder (made with content-migrator) are identical copies of the online version.
As a concrete example of the problem, if you go to the https://jeronath.net/le-silence-des-heu ... pirituelle or https://jeronath.net/le-silence-des-heu ... inin-sacre pages, they display the footer common to all pages below the article, and in the right column I have my sidebar. But below that, there is a full-width footer and below that the sidebar is duplicated. In the local version, this duplication disappears and thes pages are displayed perfectly.
Conversely, a long page with a large number of photos does not produce the same error, for example https://jeronath.net/hiver-d-amsterdam. So it seems to be related to the number of characters, memory management? a problem with php extensions? but I can't find it...
If anyone has any clues, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance.
Nathanael

your problem cannot be solved remotely without access to your bludit instance, nor duplicated without all the data, extensions, and so on.
It's more of guessing what went wrong.
Just try to debug every possible part to narrow the possibilities of experiencing this "bug".
On your production webhosting account, firstly switch to a default bl theme to check if this is not template related bug.
Disable all extensions - have on mind that disabling them will reset most of their settings and data.
Check if pages with long content and multimedia do not have hidden chars that might break processing the content or duplicate it. You might copy through a notepad-like editor with utf8 encoding. Cut the length of content, or try with a temporary page containing many images.
Of course enable debug mode and errror reporting and check in logs if there is anything related to bludit's instance.
try also v3.16.2 available on github

I am testing a non-php8 plugin using php7 and there are several interesting layout 'bugs' that don't transfer from my usual -8 template setup. One of them is the duplicated footer.
What version of php are you using?

Hey Nathanael, I had a similar issue before with a Bludit site I was running. It sounds like it might be a CSS or JavaScript conflict that only appears with longer posts. I’d suggest checking the browser console for any errors—sometimes certain scripts just don’t load or function properly on the server, especially with larger pages. It could also be worth bumping up the PHP memory limit or double-checking your server’s settings. Clearing the cache might help too, since that’s often overlooked.

Bonjour Jerome
je suis également chez infomaniak
je n'ai pas de textes aussi long pour comparer
as tu testé un autre thème pour voir si tu as le même problème ?
